Above is a summary map of my Homelab setup. Notice how my machines are spread across two locations (three if you include the VPS)--I use wireguard to allow machines on both sides to communicate with each other. While I am proud of what I've accomplished in the past year, there is so much more to be done. For instance, I have yet to implement a robust set of ACL's to limit inter-VLAN communication. Given the slew of vulnerabilities that have been attributed to rogue IoT devices, VLAN isolation will be critical moving forward. I would also like to eventually explore more esoteric technologies like VXLAN, MPLS, Openstack, LXC, PXE, and Ceph. I would be remiss if I didn't get a chance to apply the theoretical concepts I learned as part of my Math and CS degrees, and so I will probably also take a stab at setting up my very own Alexa (e.g., self-hosted STT) in the home. Since school ends and I'll be moving in a couple of months, though, I've decided to put all this on hold until I settle in somewhere more permanently. Meanwhile, I've taken the time to produce documentation and visuals like these to showcase the things I have been up to over the past year or so.
